Made it to Groningen

It was a long drive today, through France, Belgium and into the Netherlands. It was light and sunny during almost the whole drive, but it was dark by the time we showed up at Kate's door. She had some dinner waiting.  We will stay at the nearby apartment of a friend which has everything we need except wifi. Tomorrow Kate will take us on a tour of Groningen before the family starts gathering for lunch, birthday cake in the afternoon, and a birthday dinner.  So tomorrow will again be busy with little time to write. I hope to catch up with my stories soon.  I'm off to bed tonight.
